In Honor Of Al Franken
With the election board in Minnesota expected to state that Al Franken won by 225 votes (remind people of that the next time they say their vote doesn’t count) it appears the online tributes are starting. And Franken is a wealth of funny snippets and comedy routines. He’s made his career of it, and SNL was just the beginning.
But this one, found at Boing Boing, is my favorite so far. The ability to take a clearly Goodwin’s Law moment and turn it into a triumph over and insult to Ann Coulter shows a level of rhetorical skill that the Democrats need in the Senate. It is just too bad that Franken can’t be Senate Majority leader yet. He has more balls than Harry Reid can ever imagine possessing.
